What infinite login is

Infinite login uses a 2FA secret key from your authenticator app so Algominds can keep your LinkedIn account logged in without LinkedIn signing you out. It dramatically reduces the risk of your account getting disconnected mid-campaign.

The setup has two parts and they need to happen in this order. Total time: about 4 minutes.

Part 1 — Set up two-step verification on LinkedIn

You must use an authenticator app — SMS-based 2FA is not eligible for infinite login.

Step 1 — On LinkedIn, click the Me section in the top nav, open the dropdown, and select Settings & Privacy.

Step 2 — Go to Sign in & Security and find Two-step verification near the bottom.

For a clean setup, this should be off when you start. If it's already on and you have your secret key saved, skip to Part 2. If it's on but you don't have the secret key, turn it off and reset it before continuing.

Step 3 — Click Set up.

Step 4 — LinkedIn emails you a 6-digit PIN. Enter it and click Submit.

Step 5 — Pick Authenticator app as your verification method (not SMS) and click Continue.

Step 6 — Enter your LinkedIn password when prompted.

Step 7 — This is the critical step. LinkedIn will show you a QR code and a secret key (around 20 characters, just below the QR code). You need to:

• Copy the secret key and save it somewhere secure. You'll paste it into Algominds in Part 2.
• Install Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your phone.
• Scan the QR code with the app.
• Click Continue.

⚠️ Save the secret key before clicking Continue. Once LinkedIn moves you past this screen, the key isn't shown again — you'd have to reset 2FA from scratch.

Step 8 — Enter the latest 6-digit code from your authenticator app and click Verify.

LinkedIn 2FA is now active.

Part 2 — Connect to Algominds with infinite login

Step 1 — In your Algominds LinkedIn workspace, go to LinkedIn accounts and click Connect account.

Step 2 — Select the Infinite login option and choose "Yes, I have 2FA".

Step 3 — Confirm the prerequisites by ticking:

• ✅ Yes, I used the authenticator app
• ✅ Yes, I have my 2FA secret key

Click Next.

Step 4 — Fill in:

1. Your LinkedIn login email and password
2. Your 2FA secret key (the one you saved in Part 1, step 7)
3. Inbox privacy preference
4. Proxy country

Click Connect account.

Step 5 — The connection runs in the background. If LinkedIn emails you a 6-digit PIN, click PIN required in your Algominds dashboard and enter the code to continue.

Once it's done, your LinkedIn account shows Available. 🎊

What happens next

With infinite login active, your Algominds LinkedIn workspace can refresh your session automatically — no more sudden disconnects in the middle of a campaign.

If something goes sideways during setup (the QR code disappeared, you lost the secret key, account status shows Disconnected), hit the Ask Algominds button and we'll help you reset it.
